STRIGIFORMES: Strigidae
Ninox connivens
This Barking Owl was cooperative enough to perch directly above a walk alongside the gorge in Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park.
Whilst I was photographing it, a couple of Sandstone Shrike-thrushes appeared on the gorge walls nearby.
I was grateful to the Barking Owl for causing us to stop at that spot as we got our best views of the shrike-thrushes there.
